RDP (Red Dot Pistol)

Mounting Red Dot Sights on pistols is becoming more and more common.  This course will make you more proficient and leave with a better understanding of how to maximize this advantage giving technology paired with a handgun.  Topics covered include the history, theory, and concepts behind why red dot optics work, optics selection, pistol presentation and tracking the dot, driving the dot and gun for multiple shots, balancing speed and precision, how to improve both distance shots and up close speed.

This course was developed for the armed professional and shooting enthusiast who desires to attain a higher level of mastery over his weapons system.  While this course focuses on the AR15 family of weapons, all semi auto weapons systems are welcome.  You will engage targets from zero to 300 meters and beyond (range depending), use cover, and perform under stress.  This is not a shoot-til-you-puke course, you will be required to think and concentrate while negotiating courses of fire, but don’t worry; your barrel will get smoking hot too.   You will make shots from positions and distances you may have never considered and leave with the confidence and mindset necessary to prevail and return home safely.  Topics covered include safety, zero procedure, maintenance, weapon manipulation, shooting fundamentals, shooting on the move, close quarter, intermediate and long range marksmanship.

A true rifleman is a master of his weapon and craft.  He is able to put rounds on target across a wide spectrum of plausible circumstances, accurately and on demand.  Combat Carbine 2 is a skills based training course designed from the ground up to make you a better shooter.  Your current skills will be put to the test, run through the pressure cooker and you will emerge a much more highly skilled marksman.   All rifles need to be zeroed prior to arrival.  Time will be allotted for the group to confirm their zero and that is all.  Targets will be engaged from 0-200 meters.  Topics covered include all the basics of Combat Carbine usage but with the emphasis to build efficiency in movement and manipulation and develop speed and accuracy

The student will learn to efficiently and effectively engage targets from 100 to 600 yards with your scoped AR15 rifle. The Special Purpose Rifle fills the gap between the Rifleman and the Sniper. With his SPR or DMR, the Designated Marksman is charged with operating within the normal ranges of an Infantry Rifleman and beyond, providing precision fires on point targets in support of his element. The ideal rifle and scope combination for this course is an AR15 with a 14.5 inch barrel or greater and with a magnified optic.
